Shweshwe, this iconic traditional fabric, is the vibrant heartbeat of South Africa’s
Rainbow Nation. From the moment I arrived, I was certain of two things: I wanted to
work with these remarkable people, and Shweshwe would play a leading role in our
journey.
In close collaboration with Tan, our master leather specialist, we developed our
signature leather-Shweshwe creations. Our passion for these artisanal pieces soon
broadened our horizon, leading us to the African Trading Port (ATP).
This encounter blossomed into a partnership that we hold in the highest regard. Born
from a lifelong devotion to African art, the Gruer family has curated a collection that
is truly unparalleled. To this day, their scouts travel across the continent to discover
rare masterpieces and emerging talents. They embody integrity and uncompromising
quality in every endeavor, and we are deeply proud to call them our partners.
Together with our local craft artists, whose exquisite beadwork never fails to inspire,
we create a world of boundless imagination. Imani was born from the desire to create
meaningful work and to forge authentic human connections. We believe in love
